According to CNN, BTS will speak for three minutes.

K-pop superstars and UNICEF global supporters BTS will join world leaders including United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres in launching a global initiative for the youth at the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.

The campaign's launch is taking place on Monday 24 September at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. A UN diplomat reportedly expressed how special it is for a K-pop act to be invited to one of the UN General Assembly's regular sessions. The group has been named as the ambassador of UNICEF's Love Yourself campaign a year ago.

When BTS celebrated their fifth anniversary last June, Fore congratulated and thanked them for raising over US$1 million for the campaign.

In her message for BTS, Fore said: 'You've raised over $1 million for our work to end violence against children and young people. As BTS fans worldwide joined the cause, they have raised almost 1.15 billion won ($1 million) in donations. We encourage every young person to find the love from within themselves and spread that love to others.

Thus, it is no surprise that BTS' influence and humanitarian deeds, through their campaigns, their music and their golden hearts, have resulted in them being invited to the United Nations General Assembly. BTS has been working with UNICEF with numerous donations, which come from some of the income from the sales of physical albums of the "Love Yourself" series, donations of income from the sales of official goods for the LOVE MYSELF campaign, and more. It will run through next month.

BTS is now touring North America for their Love Yourself world concert tour to promote their latest album Love Yourself: Answer.
