Following the launch of Moto G6 Plus, the Lenovo owned brand Motorola has today launched its first Android One offering in India - the Motorola One Power. To be manufactured in India, the new Motorola One Power is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, has a display notch, and is part of the Android One programme, meaning it will get timely Android updates. One can stream the event live from this page or Motorola India's YouTube page. The smartphone from Motorola will be its first take on Android One in India. The Moto One Power is basically a bigger variant of the Moto One smartphone which was also launched globally last month. It carries 5000 mAh battery with Motorola's TurboPower charging technology.

That being said, the Motorola One Power boots stock Android 8.1 Oreo with Android One certification.

Like some other phones around this price range, the Motorola draws power from the Snapdragon 636 SoC with Kyro 260 architecture which clocking a speed of 1.8GHz. The handset will be available exclusively on Flipkart. It will go on sale starting October 15.

Featuring a notch display, Motorola One Power has a large 6.2-inch full HD+ LCD Max Vision screen with 19:9 aspect ratio. For graphics, it has Andreno 509 GPU. Internal storage is limited to 64GB but can be expanded further using a MicroSD card with up to 256GB of storage.

For photography, the device is equipped with a dual-camera setup at the back that includes a combination of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors.

The Moto One Power is expected to compete with the likes of Xiaomi Mi A2 and Nokia 6.1 Plus, which come with similar set of specifications, and so Motorola will likely price the smartphone in the same bracket-between Rs 14,000 to Rs 17,000. Up front, it has an 8MP camera for selfies. In terms of connectivity, Moto One Power supports 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It now runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and is scheduled to receive Android Pie in the coming weeks.
