Delta Air Lines said late Tuesday it issued a ground stop due to a technical issue affecting some of its systems. We are experiencing technical difficulties at this time. "We apologize to all customers for this inconvenience", the statement said. We are fully aware of the issue and we are working expeditiously toward a resolution as soon as possible. Some have also reported being stuck on the tarmac as far away as Los Angeles.

In an updated statement, the airline said that "Delta teams have restored all IT systems after a technology issue briefly affected some systems this evening".

Delta announced Tuesday night that the technology issue was fixed, and all ground stops have been listed.

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport confirmed the outage but said that it is now only affecting Delta flights - despite Atlanta being a major hub for the airline.
