I think he had a poor afternoon and it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't contribute to that. He was doing that to make an issue of it, make the referee think the challenge was worse than it actually was.

Spurs have largely stumbled through the last five weeks and now have been hit by the injury but just as their schedule gets tough.

Back-to-back victories have helped Spurs back into the top four of the Premier League, but it's only a small silver lining for Mauricio Pochettino's side who suffered another defeat in Champions League in midweek.

'He plays for England, is a top player, I love him, but I don't think you should try and get other pros sent off. He killed me four years ago and then he said "he's a very good coach" and "he's very nice" "We can not take it seriously in that moment, what happened on the pitch (with the sarcastic clapping) - the passion". "I think we fully deserved to win, we created a lot of chances, (but) we didn't kill the game".

"Where I was in that moment it was "off, red card".

The Spurs boss swerved entering a public debate with Warnock.

"We can not take seriously what happened in that moment on the pitch".

Dier handed Tottenham the lead in the eighth minute when a header by Davinson Sanchez was blocked and the ball fell for Dier to tap in from six yards out.

"I'm enjoying playing with him and hopefully, he can maintain his level". It looks like it's going to be an easy afternoon but it can be so complicated if they score from the set pieces and wide free kicks.

Cardiff are yet to win following their return to the Premier League and Tottenham will be confident the team Pochettino has selected will be good enough to send the visitors back to Wales with nothing to show for their efforts.

"We can play better and we need to play better if we want to be a contender at the end to be in the top four".

"We need to improve a lot".

Danny Rose went off with a groin problem but will report for England duty, with Pochettino hoping it is not too serious.
