It is expected to refresh its iPad Pro line-up this month and stealing a little thunder from a rival's announcements isn't unheard of. Both 12.9 and 10.5-inch models will have two Wi-Fi and two LTE variants each. Now let's talk about some of the features and display of the tablet. According to a 9to5Mac report, "sources familiar with the development" of the new iPad Pro models revealed that the tablets will have almost edge-to-edge displays, no Home button, Face ID support, 4K video output via a USB-C port, and other new features. The Face ID hardware system will reside on the bezels, which, while thin, will still be enough to house all the hardware. However, one major difference from the iPhone will be the absence of a notch. Apple is widely expected to launch two new tablets later this month, both part of the iPad Pro series, and we saw plenty of leaks in the past mentioning some of the same features. Moreover, it has been confirmed that Face ID will work in both orientations - portrait and landscape. It won't work if you hold the iPad upside down though.

According to "sources familiar with the development" of the slate, speaking to 9to5Mac, the iPad Pro 2018 with cellular will come in four model numbers, named iPad8,3, iPad8,4, iPad8,7 and iPad8,8, while the Wi-Fi-only version will also have four model numbers, specifically iPad8,1, iPad8,2, iPad8,5 and iPad8,6.

Finally, there will be a new Apple Pencil released along with the 2018 iPad Pros. A new panel in the Settings app will control aspects related to screen sharing, including resolution, brightness, HDR, and others. At this October event, Apple will most likely unveil the highly anticipated 2018 iPad Pro tablets, in addition to introducing new MacBooks. Other than this, it will be possible to connect the Apple Pencil to the charging port if you are switching devices.

There will be more to the story, so be sure to stay tuned in for more details. Share your views in the comments.
