Dortmund deny claims a price has been set for Jadon Sancho

They'll have to spend big in order for Borussia Dortmund to sell him.

"That's mad! Woah! I don't know what to say to that", he replied when quizzed on such a prospect.

A £100 million-rated Bundesliga starlet has been linked with Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool. Thrust into a news conference on Tuesday - his first full day as an England player - the 18-year-old winger found himself in the spotlight and cut a slightly nervous figure as he was bombarded with questions about his blossoming career. Because he had been part of their academy, The Hornets received 10% of the fee Dortmund paid to sign him from City last summer. I don't know. It's the future. I can't just go down the road and see my friends, but it's what I want to do long-term: to be a professional footballer you have to do what you have to do to make myself and my family happy. "Obviously I have got to say thank you to the (Dortmund) manager (Lucien Favre) for playing me, trusting and believing in me", he added.

His impressive form has earned him a first call up to the England side for this week's Nations League's game against Spain and Croatia and also a slew of admirers in this country.

But that too was a shock to his system.

"I was a bit surprised to be fair because obviously I'm so young, I've got a lot to learn, I'm just grateful he [Southgate] is seeing my progress in the Bundesliga and I'm just very thankful".

Sancho could make his worldwide debut against Croatia in the Nations League on Friday, or three days later against Spain. I miss them a lot.

Christian Pulisic, the US global and a Dortmund team-mate, has been a big influence: "He is another young guy, and I learn from him".

"It would be a dream come true (to make my debut against Croatia). He was just saying, "keep up the hard work and we will see what happens next".
