Will Smith reveals first post for Disney’s ‘Aladdin’

Aladdin is a live-action adaptation of the1992 Disney animated film. Aladdin is gearing up to follow in the footsteps of Beauty and the Beast and The Jungle Book, and now, fans are getting their first look at the film.

While there is no Genie yet in the trailer, we do get a glimpse of his home as Aladdin reaches for it in the Cave of Wonders. But of the many, many titles they have planned, the one that had always been the most contentious was Aladdin. Smith shared the poster, which you can check out in the gallery below, on his Facebook, saying: "LEMME OUT!"

Besides for its award-winning music, it's most widely recognized feature is undoubtedly the late Robin William's manic turn as the rubber-faced Genie. Just underneath, there's a tagline that reads, "Choose wisely".

Will Smith, who plays Genie in the upcoming film, debuted the one-sheet on his Instagram page on Wednesday. "Can't wait for ya'all to see me blue!" Led by newcomer Mena Massoud alongside Naomi Scott, Will Smith, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, Billy Magnussen, and Numan Acar, the first teaser has now arrived.

From the looks of the first trailer, released Thursday evening, the film doesn't seem shy about borrowing familiar elements from its predecessor.
