Now you can, no invitation needed.

Fortnite creator Epic Games is finally bringing their hugely popular battle royale title to the entire Android user base. If you boot up the game you'll be greeted with a splash screen with the latest news and, alongside details on the new Disco Domination Limited-Time Mode and the Fortnite Android open-beta, there's an image and description of the Quadcrasher. It started with Samsung Galaxy phones (there was even a unique skin if you bought a new Galaxy to play it on), but soon the beta spread to a wealth of other devices.

But as of Thursday, you don't need to wait for that invite.

HTC: 10, U Ultra, U11/ U11+, U12+. On iOS Fortnite made over US$300 million in it's first 200 days so you can be sure that with Android having over 85% of the world's smartphone market they will also be raking in the dough here as well. Epic Games recommends an OS of Android 8.0 or higher, 3GB of RAM or higher, and a GPU of Adreno 530, Mali-G71 MP20, and Mali-G72 MP12 or higher.

Fortnite is the biggest game around right now, and so it's great to see Epic Games lift the invitation requirement to make it easier for everyone to download the game and see what the craze is all about.
