Salah scored direct from a corner in Egypt's 4-1 win but went down with what appeared to be a leg injury in the 88th minute of Saturday's qualifier.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has scored a stunning goal for Egypt today having found the back of the net against Swaziland directly from a corner.

Egypt had already used all three substitutions so were forced to finish the game with 10 men.

Salah is expected to sit out an away game in Swaziland on Tuesday.

Although the severity of the injury is yet to be confirmed, Hany Ramzy, The Pharaohs' assistant coach, suggested his decision to withdraw from the match was more a precaution than anything that may keep him out for the long-term.

Salah has struggled to hit the heights of last season during the current campaign with Liverpool, but Jurgen Klopp will be anxious to see his star man hobble off.

"He will be examined to determine the details, but in my opinion it is not serious".

Mohamed Salah delivered a highlight-and a scare-during Egypt's Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Friday.

Liverpool do not return to action until 20 October, and Salah will have most of the worldwide break to recover should the injury turn out to be minor.

The win put Egypt level with Tunisia at the top of Group J, although Tunisia has a game in hand.
