Sen. Heitkamp dismisses Clinton's comments on civility as 'ridiculous'

Clinton's words did not go down well with Juanita Broaddrick, one of Bill Clinton's most famous accusers.

In an interview with CNN's Christaine Amanpour aired earlier Tuesday, the former 2016 Democratic presidential candidate asserted, "You can not be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about". Democrats sought to stop Kavanaugh by any and all means, from procedural delays and accusations of sexual impropriety in high school and college to mass protests, activists accosting Republican senators in elevators and airports, and death threats.

Clinton listed a litany of offenses that she believes the GOP has committed which make civility hard.

Clinton compared the handling of Kavanaugh's confirmation to "Republican operatives shutting down the voting in 2000", the "swift-boating of John Kerry", attacks on former Arizona Sen.

"I think her discourse now is a little bit risky".

"Coincidence?" Bertrand said. "This is exactly what Robert Mueller laid out in one of his indictments earlier this year, and it kind of seems like a random thing at the time for the president to say on national television, 'Russia, if you're listening, I hope you can find these 30,000 missing emails'".

"I don't see all these Democratic candidates banging down Hillary Clinton's door, asking her to lock arms", she said, before taking a final shot at her "civility" comments.

Clinton argued that the public needs to know "more facts about the Republicans". During that time, Trump was openly cheering the efforts to hack Clinton and her aides and interfere in the election. She also accused President Trump of having done business with the mafia and being "indebted to the Russians". The audience responded with laughter, applause and a short chant of "Fight, fight".

"You can not be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about", Clinton said.
