Michael Buble has apparently officially retired from music, effective... immediately.

The Mail Online claims that the singer, who recently played Croke Park in Dublin, gave his "last interview" to the Daily Mail's Weekend magazine. "I decided I'd never use social media again, and I never have", adding that he got caught up in "celebrity narcissism". "I'm retiring. I've made the flawless record and now I can leave at the very top".

The devastating news of his five-year-old son's Noah's cancer diagnosis two years ago has changed Bublé's "perception of life" and he wants to focus on his family - wife Luisana Lopilato, son Noah, and their two other children - Elias, two, and Vida, two months. He says he was always anxious about ticket sales before Noah was diagnosed and now he's "embarrassed by [his] ego".

"And I've never lost control of my emotions in public", he said.

"It's been such a hard exercise".

"My whole being's changed", he told journalist Chrissy Iley.

The crooner admitted he no longer "has the stomach" for fame and has "changed his perception on life" following his son's cancer diagnosis aged 3.

Bublé, who's new album, "Love" is set to be released in November, discussed the trauma and hardship he endured while his son, Noah, suffered from liver cancer after his 2016 diagnosis.

Unable to control his emotions during the hard chat, Michael reflected on fame and admitted he became "embarrassed by his ego".

'My wife was the same and even though I was the stronger of the two of us, I wasn't strong.

"It wasn't as straightforward as, 'My son's recovered, I should make an album'". "I'd told my manager I wanted to take a ten-year sabbatical, so I could hang out and be bad".

"More times than people could understand, some days we wished we didn't wake up".

Explaining how his new music came about, the award-winning vocalist said he reconnected with his band after inviting them over to his house to "drink and order pizza". It still sucks. What we went through was the worst possible thing that you could hear as a parent, and as maybe a human being.
