Wanna know what Ellen DeGeneres did when she learned the rescued Thai soccer players were HUGE fans of Zlatan Ibrahimovic???

"The cave is usually a tourist attraction anyways so some of the boys have never been in and they chose to go in just to see what it's like", he added.

The group made worldwide news after they became trapped in the cave in northern Thailand on June 23. The talk show host, who loves a good surprise, also gave them one - a visit from their "idol".

"The coach told them to pray and meditate so that they can stay calm and then they will be conscious, and that when they're calm they can figure out what to do next", the translator said on behalf of one of the boys.

Twelve boys saved during the Thai cave rescue were left speechless after their footballing hero Zlatan Ibrahimovic surprised them during a television interview.

One of the boys added that it was only when they tried to emerge after an hour exploring the cave that they saw the water had risen too high and they wouldn't be able to get out. None were aware, however, that the rescue mission had made global headlines until they were all safely out of the cave and transported to a hospital. Their plans for the future are to get good educations, which will lead to good jobs, but they also continue playing soccer to provide for their families.

But on Monday (Oct 15), on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he said: "This team is braver than me".

"This is probably the best team in the world".

After Ellen presented the team with soccer jersey with her face emblazoned on them, she brought on Ibrahimovic to meet the team. He invited them to a private practice with his Galaxy teammates, while Ellen gave them all a VIP experience to a Los Angeles Football Club game.

That's when Ellen chose to give them a surprise. their favorite soccer player in the flesh - and dude couldn't have been nicer.
