The tour officially begins on October 16 and will finish on October 31.

The destination for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's first official trip as husband and wife mimics the prince's parents first overseas tour, as they visited Australia in 1983, shortly after their own wedding.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will touch down in Sydney this morning for their whirlwind royal tour ahead of the Invictus Games. The program for their busy tour will also focus on youth leadership, the environment and conservation.

Getty royal photographer Chris Jackson predicts Australians are in for something very special when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrive for their mammoth tour.

"I have to say it's really, really a full packed visit, they will be doing so much here", Ms Berejiklian told Nine News. "But it's really a visit with the people". The couple had no official functions on Monday following a 22-hour flight.

They are beginning their official engagements in Sydney tomorrow, including meeting representatives for the Invictus Games and visiting Taronga Zoo.

The pair were then driven to Admiralty House in Kirribilli via motorcade.

Meghan and Harry reportedly flew in on a Qantas A380 from London via Singapore.

The couple were accompanied by the then baby William for the visit, which saw the trio visit Alice Springs, Uluru/Ayers' Rock, and Sydney.

The couple will attend the games' launch and closing ceremonies.

According to reports, the Duchess of Sussex has made a decision to bring her best friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney on the road with her next week when she and Prince Harry kick off a 16-day visit to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand-because even a duchess needs her BFF nearby.
