Clayton County police released video footage last week showing several angles of the scene where Quayle crashed her vehicle just after 7 a.m. last Monday.

While the authorities initially responded to Quayle's minor traffic accident, a subsequent medical examination revealed that the model actually sustained a gunshot wound to the neck while she was driving.

What police initially thought was a serious vehicle crash turned into a murder mystery in Georgia after doctors found a bullet lodged in the neck of an aspiring fashion model involved in a head-on traffic collision, officials said.

A Georgia woman who was aspiring to be a model was fatally shot while driving to work, and it was only revealed after an investigation into the auto crash.

Quayle was rushed to Southern Regional Medical Center with critical injuries, and was later transferred to Grady Memorial Hospital.

She was later taken off life support and died on October 10.

"It seems to be random at this time", Stubbs told WSB-TV.

Surveillance video shows Kelsey Quayle's auto headed west on a road in the Atlanta suburb of Riverdale before it suddenly drifted into on-coming traffic and hit two cars head-on.

Officials are unsure if Quayle, who had recently moved to Atlanta to pursue a modeling career, was the victim of road rage, caught in a crossfire or specifically targeted. "Please let us know if anybody saw anything".

Authorities are now hoping this CCTV will help solve what happened to Ms Quayle.

"I just want to know who did this".

"She was lovely, she was the sweetest person she was humble she was a model but she never let that get to her head. It's ridiculous. She didn't deserve this", Ms Martin said. "She loved everybody, everybody loved her".

A GoFundMe page has been set up in Quayle's name to help pay for funeral expenses.

"She was an fantastic daughter, sister, friend and girlfriend", the GoFundMe page states.
