Today, Tottenham and Manchester United are eyeing Nathan Ake...

The Daily Star reported the Premier League big guns were "ready to do battle" to secure the services of the Dutch worldwide.

Ake is, however, paying little attention to the transfer talk surrounding him heading towards January, with a long-term contract penned at Bournemouth following a permanent move to the Cherries in 2017.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea have a gentleman's agreement with Bournemouth that would allow them to re-sign Ake for £40 million.

The Telegraph add that Ake has to agree to re-join his old side.

Tottenham and Manchester United are showing a keen interest in Nathan Ake but Chelsea could scupper their plans by re-signing the £40m Bournemouth defender next summer, according to the Telegraph.

The Blues negotiated a gentleman's agreement as part of the £20m transfer of Ake to Bournemouth which states they have first option to re-sign the Netherlands worldwide for £40m.

"This does not say much about my status yet, they are rumours that come on the internet and as long as I do not hear anything myself, I will not go into that".
