Crawford was arrested this past weekend by police in Columbus, Georgia, after his wife busted him with a 12-year-old girl in a compromising situation.

It was Crawford's wife Kenya, the mother of his two young sons, who caught him around 5am on Saturday morning.

Crawford, a former West Virginia University football star, admitted to police he had oral sex and intercourse with the girl and claimed the sex was her idea.

Crawford played two seasons for West Virginia and signed this year as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons before being released.

She went back to sleep but continued to worry about what she had seen, according to the Ledger-Enquirer.

Former Atlanta Falcons prospect and two-time junior college All-American Justin Crawford stands accused of raping a 12-year-old girl, according to police in Georgia. After the hearing, she told the Ledger-Enquirer she did not see her husband standing over the child with an erection, but that his penis was exposed.

A wife who caught her footballer husband red-handed in child sex with a 12-year-old girl, got him arrested over the act which he has confessed to.

Crawford is now being held without bond at the Muscogee County Jail.

The girl was taken for a medical exam that included compiling a "sex assault kit" to collect any DNA evidence, Detective Mark Scruggs testified in court. He also claimed the intercourse was the girl's idea, according to Scruggs' testimony.

Crawford initially denied having any sexual contact with the child when questioned by police.

Judge Julius Hunter found probable cause to send the case to Muscogee Superior Court, and ordered Crawford held without bond. A star high school football player, he began his collegiate career at Northwest Mississippi Community College.
