Phoenix has offered Jamal Crawford a contract, according to a report from Arizona Sports 98.7FM.

The deal will pay the 38-year-old Crawford $2.4 million, a source told The Undefeated's Marc Spears. He is a three-time victor of the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award.

Los Angeles Clippers guard Jamal Crawford (11) shoots over Memphis Grizzlies forward Jon Leuer (30), guard Tony Allen (9) and guard Beno Udrih (19) in the first half of an NBA basketball game Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, in Memphis, Tenn.

He had a breakout season a year ago, with averages of 15.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 38.9 percent from three in the 16 games he would start (per Basketball Reference).

Crawford opted out of his deal with the Timberwolves early in the offseason and became an unrestricted free agent. It is uncertain if Crawford, a combo-guard, will be used in the starting point guard position.

Booker had to undergo a surgical procedure on his right hand and missed the entire preseason. "But, I guess it's kind of a special circumstance with the way the league is going, the market and different things of that nature".
