Dallas based rapper Yella Beezy known for his hit "That's On Me" was reportedly shot early this morning in a drive-by shooting according to Central Track.

According to the Dallas News, police said a man was found along the State Highway 121 Bypass, after someone pulled up beside him and fired more than a dozen shots at his vehicle. Police say he was discharged from the hospital on Monday.

Officials identified the victim as Deandre Conway, and later managers for the Oak Cliff rapper confirmed he'd been shot.

The reported shooting came just hours after the death of Dallas comedian Roylee Pate, who previously had beef with Yella Beezy. While Beezy has not been officially implicated in Pate's death, one Twitter user claims to have overheard a conversation about retaliation against Beezy for the shooting.

Yella Beezy was recently profiled by Rolling Stone after his single "That's On Me" rose to the No. 1 record spot this summer for mainstream rap/R&B radio.
