Cowherd discusses the Gruden situation with Tony Gonzalez and they agree the Raiders are underachieving based on their talent level, but Gonzalez argues that Gruden's plan is going to require patience.

Colin Cowherd is not impressed with Jon Gruden's coaching performance so far this season, and he thinks the Oakland Raiders may be trapped for the foreseeable future, given Gruden's 10-year $100 million contract.

The Jon Gruden experiment in Oakland hasn't exactly gotten off to a great start.

It would be a huge move for the Raiders, who already dealt Khalil Mack to the Bears earlier this season.

Oakland was set to host Seattle on Sunday, and falling to 1-5 likely would be the death knell for the season. Following the team's loss, Raiders corner Rashaan Melvin vented his frustration on Twitter. He took a jab at Melvin about being on his seventh team and therefore being "confused" about his technique.

"We're kind of getting away from [football] a little bit, it's basically on us", rookie defensive tackle P.J. Hall said Tuesday.

"Frustrated and upset. I'm exhausted of it!"

"I haven't talked to him yet, no".

Gruden hasn't been on the same page as his players for the majority of the season. "He's a good kid".

The Raiders head into their bye week before playing very winnable games against the Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers in the coming weeks.
