As for where Thibodeau stands in all this, Taylor says his job is safe despite the apparent team turmoil and he isn't coaching for his job.

It's no secret that Glen Taylor has under-performed as an owner during his tenure of owning the franchise that dates back to 1994.

"And I think that I can get Thibs to relax a little bit". And he's dealing with Glen, who doesn't know (expletive) about basketball. "He know how to make money, but he don't know anything about basketball".

When trade talks between the Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves broke down last week, it seemed quite likely that there was no going back.

Thibodeau has been reluctant to trade Butler for two reasons.

And Minnesota ownership is committed to making a wise decision.

While that may not paint the greatest picture when it comes to Butler's role as a leader and teammate, it certainly does signify just how badly he wants to be on a new team. "He will be a regular team player".

"He is a good coach and I have faith in him". Taylor, in fact, responded in the affirmative when asked if the team was committed to trading Butler, and added they aren't planning on him remaining with the team beyond the season.

Taylor and Co. also did Butler a disservice by keeping him on the roster for opening night when he had opportunities to have him move on and get something in return. He has gone from being a quiet owner to mismanaging an organization into a laughingstock while throwing away its potential.
