How to book iPhone XR - cheaper alternative to iPhone XS, XS Max

The iPhone XR is the only model to feature a Liquid Retina LCD display; Apple's iPhone XS and XS Max both use OLED displays.

If accurate, it's identical to what has been announced this year with Apple's iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and the soon-to-be-released iPhone XR. Now the spotlight turns to the iPhone XR.

If you're after a certain version of the iPhone XR, perhaps with an exact colour and memory combination, then you might want to get yours reserved before the pre-order rush starts. Of course, given that we are 10-months away from an announcement, this is still subject to change. The iPhone XR also supports dual SIM (nano SIM + eSIM), but it remains to be seen whether the eSIM option will be available in India as there are limited carriers that support eSIM as of now.

"IPhone XR makes it possible for even more people to have the great experience of the latest iPhone X technology, in handsome new designs, at a more affordable price".

Contract pricing will be revealed tomorrow but expect this device to set you back around £40 per month. The Apple Online Store is open and ready for preorder business.

While the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max come in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options, the iPhone XR will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options.

Should I buy an iPhone XR?

It's also cheaper. The 64GB model costs $749, increasing to $799 for the 128GB model, and $899 for the top-end 256GB variant. It is a touted as the most advanced LCD in a smartphone.

Despite there only being a single 12-megapixel camera on the rear glass case, the XR is fully capable of adding depth effects to your photos.

For selfies, the iPhone XR sports a 7MP selfie camera with a f/2.2 aperture along with a TrueDepth camera for FaceID.

What made you pick the iPhone XR over one of the XS models (or vice versa)? The front camera also houses a faster Face ID system.
