Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has barely been out a week, and yet it already has its first hackers on PC.

Black Ops 4 is apparently has the most "combined players" across its three modes, topping Call of Duty: WWII and Black Ops 3 in terms of numbers for the same period, and also now holds the series record for average hours spent in the game and total hours played overall on current-gen platforms. This isn't anything all that new for the Call of Duty franchise, but it still remains staggering just how much longevity this series has had.

"Black Ops IIII is off to a blockbuster start", said Call of Duty EVP and GM Rob Kostich in a press release.

Here's how weird things have gotten with the AAA video game market these days: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 made half a billion dollars in its first 72 hours on the market, and investors are unhappy. Sell-through figures include Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII retail and digital unit sales, as well as Season Pass sales.

The success of Black Ops 4 has even seeped through onto Twitch! The player (named "ViciouZ") gets six kills in a row - with four headshots - while doing nothing more than pointing their gun in the vague direction of the enemy.

The game also broke a record in terms of highest level of viewership through launch weekend on Twitch. "Black Ops 4 is designed as a more event-driven game, and the Featured playlists will serve to rally the community around different ways to play each week".
