Local wholesaler Daniels Leather donated the coats, while NY Tent Sale and TraxNYC provided shoe donations and additional sponsorship, according to Footwork Entertainment, an organizer for the event.

For her part, Cardi looked like she was her typical, energetic self at the coat giveaway.

"It's nice; it's very nice that she's doing this for the people, really", a woman told WABC-TV.

The 26-year-old also was given balloons and a cake to celebrate her recent birthday. "Because us people over here we need a lot of help".

"[Cardi B] came out and represented what a humble person she is".
