Please support the Friends of the South River Library Used Book, Media, and Bake Sale on Thursday, November 8th; Friday, November 9th; Saturday, November 10th during regular library hours. Visitors are asked to park in the far northwest area of the parking lot and use Entrance B. Items for sale will include quality books, children's books, DVD's and CD's.

▫ Saturday, Oct. 13 - 9 a.m.to 6 p.m.

The sale will open Friday with a members-only preview sale from 6 to 9 p.m. for members of the Friends organization.

The nonprofit hosts large book sales twice a year-in the spring and fall-on the second floor of the library, and ongoing sales from book carts near circulation desks.

Gaff said they have over 3,000 books they plan to get rid off, along with old VHS tapes and DVDs. Patrons will be charged a $10 fee to bring in a scanner at any sale. Information about the sale and the Friends can be found at www.dkpl.org/friends-of-the-library or by calling 815-756-9568, ext 1030. To join, visit www.mchenrylibrary.org and search the website for "Friends of the Library". Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Fort Smith Public Library, which provides supplemental funding for library programs, materials and more.
