One year on - Harry and Meghan back at Invictus Games

Harry started the Invictus Games in 2014 for wounded warriors. Meghan dressed in a summer dress has set aside her heels, while Harry ditches his formal suit and dresses in a blue shirt and beige pants.

The first event of the Invictus Games - the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge - got underway in the afternoon, with the Duke and Duchess on hand to watch.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison asked the cheering crowd: 'How good is Prince Harry?' He called him 'a veteran, a man who understands what it means to serve and honour, to sacrifice and to show love and compassion'.

If royalists were looking forward to the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's first major worldwide tour before the pregnancy announcement, they will now be beside themselves with excitement.

Today, Prince Harry opened the facility, upgraded at a cost of $40 million, by unveiling a plaque which read it was opened by a "grandson of the Queen".

Saturday started off with lovely weather as the Duke and Duchess unveiled the new ANZAC memorial before heading to Cockatoo Island for the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge.

Meghan pulled out of an arranged meeting with Invictus Games competitors to rest after Saturday's ceremony overran by almost two hours, leaving the duke to present the medals alone on Sunday morning.

They added that Meghan still plans to travel to Fraser Island with Harry as planned tomorrow, where the couple will spend the day before travelling on to Fiji and Tonga next week.
