Sporty Ways To Support Breast Cancer Charities

Beverley Ashdown, community colleague at Asda Watford, said: "This year, colleagues in Watford will be "in the pink" throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise awareness of breast cancer, and the fundraising activities taking place instore and in the community".

Breast cancer accounts for 27 per cent of all cancers in women in India, with the incidences rising in the early thirties and peaking at ages of 50-64 years. "These cancers are associated with somatic mutations in breast cells that are acquired during a person's lifetime, and they do not cluster in families".


Colleges Against Cancer is associated with the American Cancer Society and their fundraising goes toward patient support, cancer research, prevention education, and information detection and treatment. Breast cancer, unfortunately, isn't a simple illness, and we all need to be aware to catch the signs of it as soon as possible.

"We're excited to partner with the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians on its Project Pink campaign", said Silvana Kelly, executive director of the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Santa Barbara.

However, three of them were diagnosed with breast cancer.
