Raiders RB Lynch out at least a month

Starting at 1-5 this 2018 National Football League season, the Raiders have once again failed a fanbase that expected a positive culture change after Jon Gruden signed a huge contract to coach the team. Lynch has been one of the best players on the Raiders' offense over the last six weeks.

Now, as if things couldn't get worse, the injury bug has struck. The Raiders whose record stands at 1-5, are entering their bye week with lots of friction on-and-off the field.

Lynch is expected to miss at least a month with the injury, NFL Media reported Friday, adding that the issue could be enough to land the running back on injured reserve.

In 2018, Marshawn has been one of the team's lone "star" performers, amassing respectable totals of 376 rushing yards on 90 carries (4.2 yards per carry) and three touchdowns at the halfway mark of the season.

In Lynch's absence, the Raiders would turn to backup RB Doug Martin. This is a tough loss for a team that was already struggling to move the ball on offense. Oakland had a less than impressive roster that wouldn't have been competitive with Lynch in the lineup or not.
