Sergio Ramos apologises after lashing out at Real Madrid youngster in training

Sergio Ramos recently came out to apologise to Sergio Reguilón after footage surfaced online of him lashing out against the Real Madrid youth player during training.

Tensions are high around the Spanish capital as Madrid's woeful form shows no sign of improvement.

Real Madrid have lost their last three games and coach Julen Lopetegui, who Sergio Ramos recommended for the job, is on the brink of dismissal.

The Real captain took aim at Reguilon after the 21-year-old accidentally caught Ramos in the face during a game of handball, as the team continued their preparations for Tuesday's Champions League game against Viktoria Plzen.

As well as suffering an embarrassing 2-1 home defeat against Levante on Saturday and falling down to seventh place in La Liga, in failing to score before the 55th minute, Real set a new and entirely unwanted club record for consecutive minutes (464) without finding the net.

Reguilon received the full brunt of Ramos' icy stare as fellow Madrid players attempted to calm the pair.

Ramos reacted by twice kicking the ball towards the young defender, holding his nose, and waving his arms at Reguilon.

"Although it may not seem it, they are situations that are quite common, but that's not an excuse, my reaction should not have been that", he tweeted.

"We always give everything, right, Regui?"

"Draw a line under it and on to tomorrow's game". In the end the team wins together!
