But since his arrival to the Camp Nou, the 25-year-old is yet to start a game for his new club this season and has only played a combined total of 25 minutes in his two appearances as a substitute.

Malcom joined hands with Barcelona only this past summer, with the Catalans beating Serie A outfit AS Roma to sign the forward from Ligue 1 side Bordeuax.

Reports in Italy and Spain claim Malcom is now looking for a way out of Catalonia and he is said to have instructed his agent to make contact with Inter Milan over a January escape.

Lionel Messi's injury in the weekend encounter could pave way for more involvement for the Brazilian.

Barcelona signed the Brazilian from Bordeaux for an initial €41 million (£36.5m) during the transfer window in summer.

Tottenham were keen on signing Malcom in January but Bordeaux refused to entertain offers until the end of the season.

Same goes for Arsenal's bitter rivals Tottenham too, who also lack an archetypal wide player in their ranks.

Reports earlier this week suggested that Malcom is already considering an exit in search of more regular first-team football, and Spanish outlet Sport reports that both Spurs and Arsenal are interested in his signature.

The player is not believed to be in Ernesto Valverde's plans, with Arsenal and Inter also watching his situation closely.
