President Buhari Receives Prince Charles, Duchess of Cornwall In Aso Rock

Britain's involvement in the transatlantic slave trade was an appalling atrocity that has left an "indelible stain" on the world, Prince Charles has acknowledged.

"While Britain can be proud that it later led the way in the abolition of this shameful trade, we have a shared responsibility to ensure that the abject horror of slavery is never forgotten", Charles told his audience in Ghana.

The third day of the royal visit to Ghana saw the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall welcomed in a "Durbar", a lively ceremony honouring chiefs with gifts and a meeting with the King of the Ashantis.

Prince Charles had an impromptu vibesing session with a traditional band after he arrived in Ghana for the latest leg of his West African tour.


Prince Charles took over as the head of the Commonwealth of Nations last April, succeeding his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince Charles will be addressing Nigeria's herdsmen crisis and strengthening relations between United Kingdom and Africa's most populous nation.

The letter was acquired from Erika by a British Royal collector who has now consigned it for sale with American-based Julien's Auctions.

Prince Charles may have chosen the simple moves because he was keen to avoid being mocked like Theresa May was when she danced with kids in Nigeria earlier this year.
