I'm on the right side - Sane rules out Manchester United switch

Both sides have a date to keep in the Premier League this Sunday as the Citizens welcome the Old Trafford side to the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has dismissed reports linking him with a potential switch to club rivals Man United, insisting he is already "on the right side".

The 22-year-old has, however, played down the reports by stating that a move to Old Trafford in January won't happen because he's now on the right side of the city.

Sane will undoubtedly play a crucial role in making that happen, and he has put any talk of a move away, particularly to Man Utd, to bed with his latest comments as he prepares to face the Red Devils this weekend.

Sane has scored three times and registered four assists in 13 appearances for City this season.

"He has played really well this season and I am happy for him because he's a really good guy", he told a press conference ahead on Man City's Champions League clash against Shakhtar.

He said: "I have not been anxious at all".

He said: "I always enjoy myself".

Even though Mourinho's men finished second behind City past year, they scored a staggering 38 fewer goals than Pep Guardiola's side and, after bringing in no outright attackers in the summer, Mourinho may be tempted to poke his head through the proverbial winter transfer window in search of more attacking flair.

"And we have a coach who keeps telling us we need to improve, improve, make more clean sheets, make fewer mistakes, and be more careful".

"It makes us so hungry to win the game and to score a lot of goals".

The 22-year-old has started only five Premier League games for City this season and has faced increased competition for his place following the arrival of Riyad Mahrez in the summer.

"It's so important not to just have one or two players who score the goals", Sane said.
