She has grown significantly as an artist and writer between each release, taking more control over her sound than ever before - something that shines through on "Love Made Me Do It".

And the singer admitted she can't wait for people to hear her first musical outfit since 2015, along with one or two older tracks when she does finally return to the stage. "She knows me inside out and she can speak for me and melodies are just first-take wonders".

Cheryl also had high praise for presenter Vick after watching the 29-year old perform with professional dancer Graziano Di Prima on the current series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The songstress told Jessie: "I know what I want in life, but in the romantic area, I am not as evolved". 'I've seen you a couple of times on Strictly and I've seen you in pictures a lot lately and I just think you're so attractive'.

"Cheryl is at the start of a new chapter: a new mum, a new label, a new single, a new direction, which has been a year in the making". Chatting to The Sun, she said: "I needed [the break] for my sanity".

Doing some promo videos for her appearance on Jessie Ware's podcast, Table Manners, Cheryl revealed a much shorter 'do that we've ever seen on her and we love it. I'd just had enough.

She added: 'I wasn't inspired, I was jaded.

Sharing a teaser via her Instagram, you can get a feel of what to expect from "Love Made Me Do It" before its release on Friday. I like a balance. But actually, all the music and songs I've got ready were done way before we split...none of them are about anybody'.

"Love Made Me Do It" will be released November 9th 2018 via 3Beat/Universal.

Cheryl's new label signing, she says, has given her more creative freedom with her new music, explaining there's been "no A&R, no legal, no head of label, no one".

However, Cheryl has set the record straight about just who her words are aimed out, and it turns out Liam isn't in the firing line. It's catchy and it's fun.

The mum-of-one sings: "I fall in love with every f*****, I am a dreamer".
