After the successful launch of OnePlus 6, the 6T has been launched with some significant design changes.

For one thing, while the OnePlus 6T is 157.5 x 74.8 x 8.2mm and 185g, the OnePlus 6 is 155.7 x 75.4 x 7.75mm and 177g. As you can see, OnePlus and Mr. Olsson made a decision to include only three wallpapers on the OnePlus 6T, which is not surprising, as the company doesn't exactly include a ton of them out of the box, ever.

The phone adds an under-glass fingerprint sensor, the second to reach the United Kingdom market after the (much more expensive) Huawei Mate 20 Pro. This phone offers some relatively new innovations such as Screen Unlock, an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. It is already known that the handset will be available exclusively on Amazon India and through select offline stores including Reliance Digital, Croma and OnePlus stores around the country. For the connectivity, there are all the usual flagship options like Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, NFC, GPS, and in the markets where Dual SIM option was present on the previous model, the OnePlus 6T will have the Dual SIM connectivity with Dual VoLTE. The company has stated that the Nightscape, the smart HDR for night mode as the company is calling it, would be arriving on the OnePlus 6 also sometime this week.

The 6T runs the latest Android OxygenOS 9.0 and, like the 6, is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor.

There are some tweaks to the interface though.

OnePlus has also finally said goodbye to the 3.5mm audio jack and now you get a USB Type-C to 3.5mm audio adapter that you can use to connect your 3.5mm audio devices to the phone.

The OnePlus 6T is fuelled by a slightly bigger 3700mAh battery when compared to the OP6, which featured a 3300mAh battery. It has 16 MP front camera and 16M + 20M sensors at f/1.7 aperture with OIS/EIS stabilization and can record videos at 480 fps slow-mo. OnePlus's deal with T-Mobile will give OnePlus 6T greater visibility and attract new customers visiting T-Mobile stores. Signing up T-Mobile and supporting Verizon network is still a major win for OnePlus. The smartphone comes in 3 variants, which is based on the RAM and internal storage offered.

The notch at the top of the display has been shrunk dramatically to a small teardrop shape taking up far less of the screen than rivals. It isn't a huge change, and indeed, most average users probably won't notice the difference in resolution or screen size.
