'Red Dead Redemption 2' Missing Characters Bug Fix In the Works

The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of items that Arthur Morgan can collect and use on his journey, but he only has so much space in his satchels to carry them.

Mexico was a rather large section of the original Red Dead Redemption's map, and many were sad to see it absent from the large landmass of Rockstar's sequel.

Rockstar is now working to fix a known glitch in Red Dead Redemption 2 that's causing certain companions to disappear from camp during the main story's early chapters. However, according to Rockstar Support, the glitch is caused by using the Retry Checkpoint feature during Chapter 2's Polite Society, Valentine Style mission. "We are aware of the issue and are now working on a fix to be included in an upcoming Title Update".

While Rockstar works on a solution for the bug, the developer advises all players who have yet to complete "Polite Society, Valentine Style" to do so without retrying from a checkpoint.

Many players have been reporting that if one were to fail the mission "Polite Society, Valentine Style" in Chapter 2, major characters go missing in the camp area after the glitch has been activated.

For these reasons, we recommend Red Dead Redemption 2 players focus on upgrading the satchels early on so that they can enjoy the benefits of the increased inventory space as they make their way through the main story missions and the massive open world.

They added, "While players will miss some of the in-game vignettes and conversations, mission progression is not impacted".
