Besides Paul's return, other details - namely, will the film see Bryan Cranston reprise his iconic role as Walter White? - are yet to emerge.

The Albuquerque Journal is reporting that production will soon be underway on "Greenbrier", which a "source close to the project" confirmed is actually a "Breaking Bad" movie. The New Mexico Film Office confirmed that a project with the title of Greenbrier is slated to film in in the region.

Jesse escapes, but Walter is shot and surrounded by police as the series ends.

In the wake of the series finale, Gilligan spoke at length about Jesse's final moments, pondering whether Jesse really did make it out alive or if he was caught and captured. This news should be more than enough to let you forget about the real world for a little bit, right? Walt had his time in the sun, and wisely hasn't been the centerpiece of Better Call Saul's later seasons. You'll no doubt recall that while Jesse escaped, speeding away and laughing maniacally, Breaking Bad main character Walter White (Bryan Cranston) died from a gunshot wound. Same for Saul too, if for some reason he becomes the star of the film. A decade later, it's still a cultural juggernaut and widely regarded as one of the best television series ever created. Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul producing alums Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein are linked to the project, as well.

Some fans of the show took to Twitter to discuss their excitement about the Breaking Bad feature film news.

"There appears to be a movie version of Breaking Bad, but I honestly have not even read the script".

Of course, before the internet comes forth with what's sure to be a wide range of responses to this development, perhaps it's best that we wait for someone at AMC to offer their official confirmation.

The Walking Dead's Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is officially done with the show, but he's poised now to leap into a spin-off trilogy of movies.
