Ever since Mass Effect: Andromeda failed to generate critical acclaim and sales, it seemed as though EA had placed the franchise on hold. N7 Day, as it's known, has become the official day of Mass Effect, thanks to the prominence the "N7" label has in the Mess Effect universe.

For this year's N7 Day, Bioware is also releasing an Xbox One X patch for "Mass Effect: Andromeda".

That's why for this annual N7 Day holiday (November 7. get it?), we wanted to explore a few ways BioWare can make another video game in the same universe. Does the update significantly improve your experience?

Hudson then takes a sip out of a "I Should Go" coffee cup, an allusion to one of Commander Shephard's repeated, and iconic, lines of dialogue to end conversations with other characters. If you haven't played Mass Effect: Andromeda yet, be sure to check out the game at retailers. It's unclear what this means, but it could point towards Mass Effect 4, and not a spin-off like Mass Effect: Andromeda. BioWare has been putting its efforts into Anthem, its open-world sci-fi multiplayer game, which is set to release in February. And in a blog post in August, Hudson noted that BioWare knows fans want more Mass Effect (and more of its fantasy franchise, Dragon Age), and said the studio has people working on "secret projects", even though he wouldn't enumerate what they might be.

Unsurprisingly, Mass Effect Andromeda also just got discounted on Xbox One.
