Troy Aikman calls for 'complete overhaul' of the Cowboys organization

He insisted that the Cowboys can turn it around. If that's their final record, I don't see Jason Garrett remaining the team's head coach.

None of it mattered when on Monday night after the Titans stopped fumbling.

Will Jason Garrett be back next season? "We just didn't play very well".

The schedule doesn't do Dallas any favors.

A Dallas Cowboys helmet at AT&T Stadium on November 5, 2017 in Arlington, Texas. Will Garrett still be the coach on Thanksgiving?

In fact, third-year quarterback Dak Prescott played so poorly against the Titans, owner and general manager Jerry Jones publicly announced that Dak's getting a contract extension.

It's been quite the fall from grace for Dak Prescott, who managed nine wins in a season where Running Back Ezekiel Elliott was lost for six games just a year ago. Why not get the head coach that fits him best?

"And there's been times where I've heard Jerry say, 'OK, look, we're going to do it differently". Nevertheless, they're a popular organization that people care deeply about and they are struggling. The Cowboys play the 4-4 Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. The momentum shifted, Cowboys' players acknowledged, and neither side of the ball showed any ability to recapture it.

"Right now", Garrett responded (via the Dallas Morning News), "Scott Linehan is going to call the plays on offense". "That's' something you try to instill in your team, it's a 60 minute game. I talk to people who have been inside the building and have a pretty good understanding of how things are run and in a lot of ways there's a lot of dysfunction and that has to change if this team is going to be able to compete on a consistent basis like the teams that you look to around the league that seemingly are in the hunt each and every year". We're not in anything if we don't play better.

In addition to the critiques of what is going on under Jones, Aikman applauded the owner for how he consistently gives the fan base hope going into new seasons, and he expects the same for 2019 "whether that ultimately means the head coach, a change there, or something else".

Machota: I've been saying 9-7 since the schedule was released. Make no mistake about that. "If we were going to make changes going forward, it's not something we would discuss". "Had we played a lot better tonight and had the loss, then I would be more positive about that".

Jones took a similar stance in 2010 when Dallas started 1-7 under Wade Phillips.

Who is considered to be the top 3-4 young/creative/innovative/upcoming offensive minds that are knocking on the doorstep of being a head coach or offensive coordinator?
