You can also add a Jetpack (Verizons branded portable LTE hotspots) or LTE tablet just as you would add a smartphone.

Verizon is bringing more value and more features to Verizon Prepaid - including $5 monthly Auto Pay discounts per line - to make it easier for prepaid customers to get on the best network with no annual contract or credit check.

This is great news for anyone looking to save some money in time for Christmas and helps Verizon stay competitive with a growing number of competitors offering prepaid and unlimited plans. T-Mobile says this a limited time deal, so it's unclear how much longer it'll be available. For $45, you'll get 8GB, with additional lines costing $30 each, and the $65 plan offers unlimited LTE data with $45 additional lines.

The pre-paid market is becoming more competitive in the U.S. but Verizons plans are still not the best value in prepaid unlimited. For example, we do not know if this prepaid plan includes 5GB of 4G LTE in Canada and Mexico, free in-flight Gogo Wi-Fi, or unlimited streaming from certain services. All plans also include unlimited talk and texts to over 200 destinations.
