They added: "We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time".

One of those phones belonged to missing Pepperdine University freshman Alaina Housley, 18.

Before learning of Alaina death, Tamera and Adam both used their social media pages to seek information about their niece.

According to the Napa Valley Register, Alaina graduated from Vintage High past year, before becoming a student at Pepperdine University, where her suitemate had tweeted a photo of her earlier in the day, saying she hadn't come home from the bar.

Housely's uncle, Pepperdine alum and former Fox News reporter, Adam Housley, spoke to the LA Times, saying: "My gut is saying she's inside the bar, dead".

A gunman dressed entirely in black opened fire at the Borderline Bar & Grill, which was holding a weekly "college night" on Wednesday, killing at least 12 people and sending hundreds fleeing. They were enjoying college night when the chaos started. Tamera, Adam, and the rest of Alaina's friends and family are concerned she might have been killed or injured in the shooting. "I'm hoping I'm wrong", he said.

On Thursday morning, Mowry-Housely responded to a tweet after a girl had posted photos of her missing suitemate.

After a Twitter user offered her prayers, Mowry responded saying, "We haven't found her yet". "She is wearing denim shorts, a blue flannel and sneakers", wrote the friend.

"We were hoping she just went somewhere because of the incident but unfortunately it turns out she was one of the victims", Punzalan said. Among the dead are one deputy, Ron Helus, and the suspected gunman, identified as Ian David Long, who lived locally.

"I really don't know what to say other than I love this girl with all my heart and I'd give my life right now for a miracle".

Mowry-Housley tweeted back seeking more information. "It's not fair how you were taken and how soon you were taken from us", The Real co-host wrote on Instagram.

Principal Sarah O'Connor said, "Alaina Housley is exactly the kind of young person that we all want our kids to be".
