The six all-new projects together with Netflix's previously announced titles now comprise a slate that features a variety of animation styles - including Cork woman Nora Twomey's 'My Father's Dragon'. Some even have some big names attached. Created, written and directed by Jorge Gutierrez (The Book of Life), with Silvia Olivas (Elena of Avalor) co-writing and co-executive producing and Jeff Ranjo (Moana) serving head of story, this limited series is expected to roll out in 2021.

Streaming giant Netflix has acquired "My Father's Dragon, ' the next project from Oscar-nominated Irish director Nora Twomey ('The Secret of Kells, ' 'The Breadwinner"). The Willoughbys, already in production, counts Ricky Gervais, Maya Rudolph, Will Forte, Martin Short, Alessia Cara and Jane Krakowski among its cast. He told Variety that he wants the show to be like a "Mexican Lord of the Rings, but hilarious". A fantasy-adventure show from Powerpuff Girls creator Craig McCracken, Kid Cosmic is about a young boy struggling with his newfound hero status after discovering a set of powerful cosmic stones. The show, which takes place in a mythical world, follows a warrior princess on a mission to find a trio of legendary fighters to help save the world of men and gods. A young boy who dreams of becoming a hero gets his wish, but being a hero is far more complicated than he realized. The next two are geared specifically toward preschoolers: Trash Truck (2020) will explore a 6-year-old boy's relationship with-you guessed it-a trash truck, while Go! Go! Smart Wheels. It follows the adventures of kid auto Cory Carson as he navigates the winding roads of childhood in Bumperton Hills.

There is no confirmed release date for the movie as of yet, but it's not expected to be on Netflix until some point in 2021.
