Pakistan ended a run of 12 straight one-day worldwide losses to New Zealand with a comprehensive victory in Abu Dhabi to draw level in the series at 1-1.

In 10 overs, New Zealand were 55/2. Earlier, half centuries from Ross Taylor (80) and Tom Latham (68) revived New Zealand after captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bat.

Sarfraz fell for 13 but Mohammad Hafeez hit the winning boundary to finish with 27 not out.

In the second over, Shaheen Afridi got an important wicket when Colin Munro skied one in the air and Muhammad Hafeez took a good running catch.

Team management said Junaid suffered a toe injury on his right foot and will be out of the series.
