Tributes have been pouring in from around the world as comic-book legend Stan Lee passed away yesterday. The 95-year-old Marvel icon passed away on November 12, which prompted many actors to mourn by sharing their personal experiences with the comics icon. Specifically, he called out the photos they posted of themselves with Lee.

Lee's birth name was "Stanley Martin Lieber", but used "Stan Lee" as his pen name and then later had it legally changed. "You sound like a real asshat", Morgan replied.

Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr said: "I owe it all to you". Unfortunately amid the ruckus, however, one New Zealand newspaper (The Gisborne Herald) printed a front-page headline about Stan Lee's death while embarrassingly mixing him up with Spike Lee, the BlacKkKlansman director who is clearly an entirely different Hollywood figure.

J.C. Lee told TMZ her father, the man behind Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four and The Incredible Hulk was creating a new character - Dirt Man.

"To the family and to the legions of fans, I remember Stan as a true gentleman who had this glint in his eye", Jackman said.

In a statement, Bob Iger, CEO of Marvel Entertainment's parent company The Walt Disney Company, said that as a "super hero in his own right to Marvel fans around the world, Stan had the power to inspire, to entertain, and to connect". While The Walking Dead comic is published by Image, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has appeared in a handful of movies based off DC Comics properties. But, at Comic-Con, no one felt more important than Stan "The Man".
