Official PlayStation Black Friday deals confirmed

We suspect Sony is considering this redesign since the DualShock 4 touchpad is mostly ignore, or used as a pause button.

Other deals include DualShock 4 wireless controllers available for $39.99 United States dollars ($49.99 CAN), PlayStation 4 VR on sale for $199.99 USD ($249.99 CAN), discounts on PlayStation Plus and special deals on "popular game titles".

There's more planned for Black Friday Week beyond those three deals, however.

Spider-Man is as good a reason to purchase a PlayStation 4 as any other game and this new Spider-Man PlayStation 4 bundle might just be the deal you've been waiting for.

In digital distribution service PlayStation Store on November 16 launched a major sale in honor of "Black Friday" and gamers will be able to purchase the necessary software nearly for free.

This isn't a new idea, we have seen iterations of touchscreen technology in gaming controllers before in the failed Nintendo Wii U (since corrected with the Switch) and Sega Dreamcast.

Additionally, PlayStation says it will offer "special deals on popular game titles" from November 16th to 27th on the digital PlayStation Store. For those looking for an early deal, starting today, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is being discounted by 20%, bringing it down to $47.99 on the PlayStation Store.

This update could simply be Sony extending the status of the patent itself to keep it active instead of a newly filed one (and this doesn't appear to be new at all).
