With less than a year to the launch of Disney's ambitious Star Wars land called Galaxy's Edge - coming to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World - we finally have (via Entertainment Weekly) the official names and the first ride footage from the two main attractions in both parks.

So much of Star Wars is wrapped up in the iconic music composed by John Williams and fans will be happy to learn that he'll be back and composing the themes for Galaxy's Edge.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is slated to open in Fall 2019 at Disneyland Park in Anaheim California and Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida.

Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products, confirmed the news today during D23's Destination D in Orlando with a special preview, which you can listen to below. Disney added that there's more music in the works, so you might want to keep those tissues on hand for a while.

Disney has also shared this video that was shot in the actual attraction!

The Black Spire village is envisioned as a remote trading outpost. You can check out the teaser trailer for the new ride below.

The other big attraction was revealed to be called Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. It will put riders in control of the Millennium Falcon.

New concept art was shown for the Rise of the Resistance.

May The Force Be With You, and may winter 2019 get here a lot faster.

"One of the things I am most excited about is inviting our guests into that Star Wars universe", creative executive Scott Trowbridge says.
