Woman thrown overboard by lover on Duchess of Cambridge cruise ship

Authorities told CBS News the woman's husband has voluntarily stayed behind in Aruba and is not considered a suspect.

The arrival was attended by Celebrity Cruises President and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Chairman and CEO Richard Fain who took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony with port and city officials.

The passenger died Tuesday morning after reportedly plunging from the upper level of the ship down to a lifeboat boat several decks below. She landed on a lifeboat nine floors below.

Another person said they could see the lifeboat from their room and it had blood and glass on it.

Passenger Logan Tignor described the horrifying incident on a video call with CBS News, saying: 'It's surreal and I'm kind of traumatized for it.

A second source added: 'We can literally see the lifeboat from our room. Blood and broken glass all over it'.

News outlets in Aruba said authorities are investigating the incident as a possible murder.

Tenorio's death has been ruled unnatural and authorities are awaiting autopsy results.

The names of the woman and her husband have not been released. No arrests have been made yet.

But one passenger has insisted, "It was two passengers they had a row in the casino that night".

'The gossip on board is rife. "We were all woken at 4:30 a.m.by a security alert by the captain".

Police in Aruba are investigating the death of the 52-year-old woman, who reportedly fell onto a life boat and severed her leg in the horrific incident on the Royal Princess cruise liner.

A spokesman for Princess Cruises said the cause of death was not yet known.

'In their statement, Princess Cruises officials went on to say, "We are deeply saddened by this incident and offer our honest condolences to the family and those affected".

Kenneth is set to go on trial next year.
