Oppo A7 launched with 6.2-inch display, 4230mAh battery, dual cameras

After launching Oppo F9 Pro and Oppo Find X flagship smartphones in India, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is now all set to launch a new smartphone in India under its R-series.

Oppo R17 Pro features a Snapdragon 710 processor and triple rear-facing cameras on the back. While it is initially limited to just China, the company is now selling the OPPO R series smartphones in Asia and Europe. The smartphone comes with a 4GB RAM with a storage of 64GB that is expandable with the microSD card slot. Even recently, it launched a toned-down version of the Oppo R17, dubbed Oppo R17 Neo, in Japan, and there are reports of it making to China soon. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with the company's own ColorOS 5.2 skin on top and is backed up with a 4,230mAh battery. The smartphone sports a 6.4-inch (1080x2340 pixels) full-HD+ display with a 91.5 percent aspect ratio.

For the camera, the Oppo A7 is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 2-megapixel with f/2.4 aperture.

For storing content, the Oppo R17 has 128GB inbuilt storage. Besides that, the OPPO A7 supports dual SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, USB OTG, microUSD 2.0, Global Positioning System and importantly, a 3.5mm headphone jack (hurray!). The A7 also features the following sensors: accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope and proximity sensor. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM. For the front, it has 16-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture. Video-wise, the OPPO A7 has HDR mode with 16MP wide angle lens in the selfie camera and also supports multi-frame image stabilization technology. The smartphone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. Both these phones were the first ones from Oppo to debut with a waterdrop style notch and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Besides, the smartphone packs a 3,500mAh battery that is powered by Oppo's proprietary VOOC technology that is touted to deliver two hours of talk time with five minutes of charge.
