It's Florida vs. MI in Peach Bowl. Kickoff is slated for noon ET on December 29.

Including nine seasons at Mississippi State, Mullen's teams have appeared in bowl games all but 2009, his first season in Starkville.

Once the College Football Playoff was announced on Sunday morning the rest of the bowl dominoes started to fall.

It'll be a noon kickoff for the two teams as they face-off for the second year in a row against Florida (9-3).

After Florida fell out of contention in the SEC East with consecutive losses to Georgia and Missouri, the Gators' focus down the stretch turned to trying to earn a berth in a prestigious New Year's Six bowl game.

But when you're 6-6 in a season with more bowl-eligible teams than bowl slots, any bowl game is better than none.

MI junior defensive lineman Rashan Gary will not play in the Wolverines' Peach Bowl matchup against Florida on December 29, coach Jim Harbaugh said via teleconference on Sunday. But the Boise-based bowl game skipped over an eligible Mountain West team - Wyoming (6-6) - this season in favor of BYU (6-6), which has a significant fan base in the Treasure Valley.

The Gators will make their 44th bowl appearance (22-21 overall record) and 18th New Year's Six appearance on December 29. And it'll be the first time since 2012 that Florida has secured a bid to one of those major bowl games. Thus results like a 27-19 win over LSU and a 41-14 whooping of FSU coexist with a 38-17 loss to Mizzou and 27-16 loss to Kentucky.

This bowl destination comes as a bit of a surprise, since the MWC had more than enough bowl-eligible teams to fill their slots.

Says Gary is the only player he knows of who won't play.
