Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh to Host the 2019 Golden Globes

Sandra Oh, star of the acclaimed BBC America drama Killing Eve, and Andy Samberg, star of NBC's comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine, will cohost the annual telecast.

In an announcement on Wednesday, NBC Entertainment co-chairmen Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks called Oh and Samberg the "perfect choices" for the prestigious event.

The Golden Globe awards ceremony will be held on January 6 at 8 p.m. ET. "It's sure to be another unforgettable, fun-filled night".

With roughly a month to go until the Golden Globe Awards broadcast live from L.A.'s Beverly Hilton, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association have named this year's ceremony hosts.

"I am exclusively going to be watching the Golden Globes for Sandra Oh and when she's not on screen I will be looking at Instagram send tweet", one fan commented.

'Both Golden Globe Award recipients have continually showcased their talents in film and television, and we can't wait to see what their undeniable chemistry will bring to the Golden Globes stage'. While Oh does not appear to have any past award show hosting credits, Samberg has hosted both the Independent Spirit Awards and the Emmys.

The duo follows previous hosts Seth Meyers (2018), Jimmy Fallon (2017) and Ricky Gervais (2016, 2012, 2011, 2010), as well as co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (2015, 2014, 2013). Past year the show was helmed by Seth Meyers. Previously, Oh starred as Dr. Cristina Yang on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy", for which she also received five Emmy nominations. NBC picked it up a few days later.
