First, we can expect PS4 and Xbox One to arrive on April 2019: a seemingly set-in-stone window.

Dauntless, the Monster Hunter-like RPG that is now available for PC, is making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, developer Phoenix Labs announced during The Game Awards. It will also be coming to Epic Games' newly announced storefront for those still looking to play on PC.

The Hunt Pass will also launch on December 6th "which will provide players with new challenges and big rewards". On any platform that you might log into via your Dauntless account, all progression and items will carry over. Phoenix Labs says all of this is part of their "One Dauntless" cross-platform vision, similar to Minecraft's "Play Anywhere" initiative.

For the past few months, Monster Hunter-style fans have been enjoying Phoenix Labs' Dauntless on the PC front, cutting monsters down to size collectively with teams, and making some progress on their own. "The journey of Dauntless is just beginning in the ever-evolving online world of the Shattered Isles, and we're excited to share many more years of experiences with our players".

Loot gained during each quest can be used to craft new gear or upgrade your existing load-out, and hunts - which can be played either solo or with up to four people - can take a considerable amount of time to complete. To celebrate the announcement, they made a trailer that debuted at The Game Awards show last night. You can check this out below along with some new images showing off some of the game's new Frostfall content.

It's great to see that this game will be cross-play between a variety of devices.
