Other districts of the state do not have a film theatre.

After working with debutante actress Sara Ali khan in Kedarnath, actor Tarun Gahlot seems to be in awe of her.

Mumbai: The Sara Ali Khan-Sushant Rajput starrer Bollywood film "Kedarnath" will not be released in the hill state of Uttarakhand, an official said on Friday.

In November, The chairman of the Kedarnath priests, Vinod Shukla said in a statement, "We will launch an agitation if the movie is not banned as we have been told that it hurts the Hindu religious sentiments by promoting "love jihad"(an alleged campaign under which Muslim men target the non-Muslim women for conversion to Islam)". "The movie is banned everywhere in state".

Jabalpur: Hindu Sena activists stage a protest against the film Kedarnath at south Avenue mall. The committee members watched the movie and met Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Thursday evening, a day before its release. The state, however, asked district magistrates to decide on the matter depending on the situation in areas under their jurisdiction. The committee is being headed by Tourism minister Satpal Maharaj and after examining the objections to the film, decided not to declare an official ban on it.

The district magistrates of Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar on Thursday imposed a ban on the movie Kedarnath, expecting disruption of law and order. Many BJP leaders have claimed the movie is surreptitiously promoting "love jihad". In short, Kedarnath will not release in the main and important centers of Uttarakhand.

Darshan Bharti, whose petition seeking ban on the film was rejected by Nainital High Court, said the movie's makers have tried to play with the sentiments of the Hindus by showing a love story of a Muslim porter and a Brahmin girl.
